Team Milan Public Information Meeting

  • January 22, 2011

On Tuesday, Jan. 25, at 7 p.m., Team Milan will be holding a public meeting at the Parish of the Epiphany Church at 70 Church Street.  Team Milan is a group of parents, friends, coaches, teachers and community members who have joined together to support Milan Moosavizadeh and his family as well as all student athletes in our community.  Milan, a student and star soccer player at Winchester High School, suffered cardiac arrest during a soccer tournament on May 29, 2010 .  Since a defibrillator was not available on site, Milan was without oxygen for a long time.  After an extended hospitalization, Milan is finally home with his family fighting each day to regain the ability to move his body, to speak, to see.

Team Milan has established The Milan Moosavizadeh Trust to help the family with their ongoing support needs for Milan.  This public meeting is being held to inform the community about our plans to help the Moosavizadeh family as well as to let everyone know how they can contribute.  Many people we’ve spoken with have offered their time, talent or connections to others who may help. We need to organize volunteers who want to contribute their time and financial resources to this cause.  We are also planning a fundraising gala for the spring to help raise the resources needed  to support Milan’s ongoing needs.  Please come to this meeting to find out how you can help.  For more information, visit our website at www.teammilan.org.
