Winchester Hospital - Adult Volunteers

  • July 2, 2010

The mission of Winchester Hospital is to ensure that they continue to deliver the highest quality of  health care to the communities they serve. In doing so, the hospital is always on the lookout for volunteers who are committed to providing stellar service to the hospital and its patients.

Some of the volunteering opportunities include the ambulatory care unit, breast cancer center, child life program, clerical service, coffee cart, day surgery, emergency department, imaging transport, information desk, messenger service, oncology, pre-admission testing, registration/concierge and the read-to-me program.

When a volunteer loses their "job", are they notified why?. If one cannot defend oneself,it is a bit like going to jail without a trial. Other than that, the volunteer program is truly wonderful, 8 great years for me. I am left empty, with many questions. Most people make out very well in Winchester; there are not many programs like it
