Winchester Hospital to Host Event for Cancer Survivors
Surviving and Thriving: A Day of Inspiration and Joy Just for You will take place on Saturday, Oct. 20 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Winchester Hospital Center for Cancer Care, located at 620 Washington Street in Winchester.
The event will focus on the those living with cancer and their families by providing a day of inspiration and fun. The keynote speaker is Shondra Schilling, cancer survivor and wife of former Red Sox pitcher, Curt Schilling. She will talk about working through challenging times.
Following her discussion, attendees will choose from a number of break-out sessions to attend – Integrated Therapies, Yoga, nutrition for the cancer patient (which include food demos), utilizing the internal Winchester Hospital staff, a dance class provided by a retired teacher from the Boston Ballet and parenting in challenging times.
A box lunch will be available as well as the opportunity to mingle and visit with other attendees. Cost is $20 per person and space is limited.
Come meet others living with a cancer diagnosis, hear from a woman who has also faced that battle and learn about other ways to care for yourself.
