5 Things to Know in Winchester: Freezing Cold, Italian Class & More

Here are 5 Things to know for Wednesday, Jan. 23 in Winchester:

1. Learn Italian: An intermediate-level Italian class for groups, led by instructor Sabrina Amadei, is slated for 9-11 a.m. Wednesday at the 1 Nassau Drive. For costs and additional information, call 781-354-3233 or email italia­nwitsabrina@­gmail.­com.

2. Sunny and frigid: It is expected to be sunny and cold Wednesday, with temperatures peaking in the upper teens during the day before dropping to a low of around 2 at night, according to the National Weather Service's forecast for Winchester. Wind chill values are likely to be in the -8 to -11 range, according to the forecast.

3. In case you missed it: The Town Clerk's office will be closed five mornings to process census data and transfer station permits. The Town Clerk's office will be closed from 8 a.m. to noon on Jan. 30 and Feb. 6, 13, 20 and 27.

4. Meeting time: There is a testimony meeting slated for 8 p.m. Wednesday at the First Church of Christ Scientist.
