5 Things to Know in Winchester: Home Sales, Food Pantry Opens and More

1. Mixed forecast: There is a 30 percent chance of precipitation Friday afternoon and late at night, according to the National Weather Service forecast for Winchester. Otherwise, it is expected to be partly sunny with temperatures reaching a high of about 41 and a low around 31, according to the forecast.

2. Food pantry: The Servant's Heart Food Pantry is scheduled to be open from 10-11:30 a.m. Friday at the Faith Evangelical Church, 200 Franklin St., Melrose. The food pantry helps more than 200 families in the Winchester region by providing emergency food to people in need.

3. Social media drive: Help us make the push for 1,000 "likers" of the Winchester Patch Facebook page and 2,000 Twitter followers.
