Happy Fourth of July! If you need to run out inbetween the grilling and hanging out with family and friends, keep in mind these places are closed today:
Government:
There is no mail delivery today, except for express mail.
Winchester's Town Hall will be closed.
State and federal offices will also be closed.
Banks:
Banks and the stock markets will be closed.
Recycling Center:
The Transfer Station will be closed and will re-open at noon on Thursday.
Library:
Winchester Public Library will be closed.
Retail:
Some businesses will be closed. Give them a call before you head out. Use our free directory to look up a Winchester business' number.
MBTA Schedule:
- Blue, Orange and Red line trains, and Green line streetcars and trackless trolleys will operate on a Sunday schedule.
- Buses will operate on a Sunday schedule.
- Commuter rail trains will operate on a Sunday schedule. The last Haverhill Line train will be delayed from 11:30 p.m. as scheduled to 11:45 p.m. to accomodate 4th of July celebrations.
- Bicycles are not allowed on any subway lines, all day, on the Fourth of July. Bicycles are not allowed on inbound Commuter Rail trains from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. or on outbound trains after 4 p.m.
