Newton Firm Acquires Winchester Construction Company

A.J. Martini, Inc., of Winchester, is a 60-year-old construction manager and general contractor.

 

Newton construction management firm Commodore Builders announced last week that it has acquired Winchester-based A.J. Martini, Inc., a 60-year-old construction manager and general contracting company.

A.J. Martini CEO Paul Martini will become senior vice president at Commodore Builders, according to a report last week in the Boston Herald. Peter Martini will come on board as vice president and lead the business unit. 

The acquisition of A.J. Martini will allow Commodore Builders to expand its business to the institutional, commercial, health-care and life sciences sectors, according to the Herald report. 

Business operations will remain at Commodore's Bridge Street headquarters in Newton, the Herald reported.
