Parsons Table Worth a Visit

Winchester Patch suggests you try Parsons Table and enjoy its local food and ever-changing menu.

If you haven’t tried Parsons Table yet, this is the weekend to do it. The restaurant opened a year ago this month. Sure, the same person still owns it, but Chris Parsons’ name-change from Catch to Parsons Table also saw a slight change in the menu.

Before, what used to be a seafood-heavy selection is now a nice mix of salads, chicken, fish and beef. And for those of you who aren’t risk-takers here’s your chance: Parsons Table likes to change its menu frequently. Instead of seeing what’s due to be served beforehand, head down to Church Street, and try something different. Ever have trout before? Or what about an Atlantic Cod “Cassoulet”?

Not only is the food great, but you also get to have Chris Parsons make you dinner. Last year, Chef Parsons took third place in the Bocuse d’Or competition, which has some of the top young chefs from around the country competing in it.

You'll also find a nice selection of wines from small vineyards using sustainability, organic or bio-dynamic farming practices.

If you do decide to head to the restaurant, keep in mind, reservations are strongly recommended.
