PHOTO GALLERY: Looking Back on Winchester's Holiday Blizzard
A year ago today, the town was buried under a foot of snow.
While the weather in the Winchester area on Monday was a bit unseasonable - sunny skies with temperatures in the mid-40s - it was a different story one year ago.
On Dec. 26, 2010, Winchester, along with much of the rest of the state, was pummeled with a storm that dumped several inches of snow on the area.
The blizzard prompted a number of closings and cancellations in Winchester, but despite the disruption, things went rather smoothly for the Winchester Department of Public Works.
So far, aside from the abnormal snow storm in October this year, Winchester has not seen much of the white stuff as Old Man Winter takes his stand (though it's still early in the season).
