Planning on Running for Office in 2013?

Starting today, nomination papers are available at the Town Clerk’s Office.

 

Today is Wednesday, Jan. 2. Here are five things you need to know:

1.) Planning on running for office in 2013? See the attached calendar of important dates (starting today, nomination papers are available at the Town Clerk’s Office, for instance) and the attached list of offices up for grabs.

2.) The Winchester High girls’ and boys’ varsity ice hockey teams are at Belmont (Viglirolo Rink) today – the girls’ at 5 p.m., the boys’ at 7 p.m. The high school girls’ track team will face Woburn at Lexington High School at 5 p.m., and the girls’ basketball team will host North Reading at 7 p.m.

3.) When to watch the Quadrantid Meteor Shower this week.

4.) Have you seen Marisol?

5.) Today’s high is only expected to be 30, and tonight’s low should be around 9, according to the National Weather Service. There will be increasing clouds throughout the day.
