Rotary Club Meets Today

Here is some information to get you through Thursday, Aug. 23.

 

1. The sun is here to stay with a high of 87 degrees and a low of 63 in the evening, according to the National Weather Service.

2. The Wright-Locke Farm's U-Pick season is now open. Residents can pick their certified organic berries in Town-owned heritage landscape that's stroller friendly. Check the event listing for more information.

3. We are still looking for a student to feature this week. If you know a kid you would like to nominate for our Star Student, send an email to winchester@patch.com. Check here for the required information.

4. The Rotary Club meets today at the Parish of the Epiphany at 12:15 p.m. Everyone is invited to attend this free meeting.

5. When it comes to philanthropy, Winchester residents give to charitable causes more than the state average, according to a study conducted by "The Chronicle of Philanthropy." Winchester residents contributed a total of $29.9 million. Compare all the numbers here.
