Shop at Whole Foods to Support Winton Club

Here is some information to get you through Tuesday, Sept. 4.

1. There is a 30 percent chance of showers throughout the day with a high of 73 degrees and a low of 60, according to the National Weather Service.

2. Shop at Whole Foods at 400 Cambridge St. from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. to support Winchester's Winton Club. Five percent of total purchases will go directly to the Winton Club's 2013 Cabaret. The Winton Club is a non-profit women's organization exclusively supporting Winchester Hospital in service and fundraising activities.

3. The former manager of the Black Horse Tavern is opening a new restaurant in East Arlington. William Lyons is opening the Menotomy Grill and Tavern at 25 Massachusetts Ave. The 4,500-square-foot space, which has been vacant for about five years, is going to be completely renovated, inside and out. The cost of renovations/construction was estimated at $900,000, with another $260,000 projected for initial start-up costs. See the complete story here.

4. Before heading to the grocery store or out to work, check Patch's Commuter Map. This has traffic updates as well as local gas prices.

5. Keep sending in your photos to be featured as the Photo of the Day. Find more details on how to submit your pics here.
