Venture Out From Winchester!

Revisit your younger days when you hopped in the car, started the engine and drove off in search of something fun. Patch Passport maps out where you can Venture Out on a 15-, 30- or 60-minute drive from your home in Winchester.

In the Venture Out portion of the Patch Passport series, we show you some of the best places you can visit in less than a tank of gas.

Believe it or not, you actually don't have to go that far to feel like you're miles and miles away from Winchester. Middlesex Fells Reservation boasts 2,500 acres of land for the entire family to explore.

This museum has an unrivaled collection of New England-based artwork, and often hosts special lectures and art related programs. Exhibitions like “Ripple Effect, The Art of H2O” and the works of Susan Philipsz are currently on display.

The park opened in 1984, and has quickly become one of the most visited attractions on the Seacoast thanks to Geronimo and other popular water slides, a massive wave pool, Aventure River, and other rides.
