Weekend Planner: A Farmers Market and a Pink Hair Fundraiser

Here's a look at some suggestions of what to do this weekend.

 

It’s Thursday, and you’ve got no idea what you’ll do for the weekend.

Patch is coming to the rescue. Every Thursday we’ll be giving you a few suggestions of things to do this weekend. And be sure to let us know of any other events in the area that you might be attending.

1. WINCHESTER FARMER’S MARKET AND FESTIVAL

Where/When: Town Common, Church Street and Waterfield Road; Sept. 3, 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Why Go: Enjoy live music while you find some of the freshest produce in the area.

Pricing: Free admission

2. U-PICK RASPBERRIES / WE SURVIVED THE STORM

Where/When: Wright-Locke Farm, 78 Ridge Street; Sept. 3, 1- 4 p.m.

Why Go: Celebrate raspberry season by picking your own, fresh from the farm.

Pricing: Free admission

3. PINK HAIR FOR HOPE

Where/whenFantastic Sams, 217 Main Street, Wilmington; All day Saturday.

Why go: Get a lock of pink hair added to your own locks for a $10 donation and help support the National Breast Cancer Foundation and the American Cancer Society's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. 

4. MAHJONGG

Where/when: Temple Shalom Emeth, 16 Lexington Street, Burlington; Sundays at 7 p.m. 

Why go: Play Mahjongg with fellow community members. 

Pricing: Free

5. FREE TRIAL MUSIC LESSON

Where/when: Real School of Music, 56 Middlesex Turnpike, Burlington; Friday through Sunday at 2- 9 p.m.  

Why go: Get a free trial lesson and learn about fall music classes. 

Pricing: As the name suggests, free!
