Winchester High Boys’ Basketball Season Opener Tonight

Tip off is at 7 p.m. at the high school.

 

Today is Tuesday, Dec. 11. Here are five things you need to know:

1.) The Winchester High boys’ basketball team’s season opener is at home at 7 p.m. tonight against Weston. Both teams are trying to bounce back after tough seasons last year.

2.) The School Committee is meeting at 6 p.m. tonight in the Lynch Elementary School Library.

3.) Author William Martin will talk about his latest book, “The Lincoln Letter,” at 10:30 a.m. at the Jenks Center. The event is free and open to the public. It’s being presented by the Education Committee of the Winchester Seniors Association and is supported by a grant from the John and Mary Murphy Educational Foundation. Read more.

4.) There is a Fat Tuesday Blues Jam session is at 7:30 p.m. tonight at the Winchester Community Music School. Read more.

5.) After a rainy morning, the sun is expected to come out today with temperatures in the high 40s, according to the National Weather Service.
