Every Saturday we'll look at the week that was on Winchester Patch's Facebook and Twitter feeds.

Here at Winchester Patch, we take social media pretty seriously.

The platform is one way we look to interact with you, answer your questions and get to see what's on your mind. Social Media Saturday is a weekly feature where we highlight your questions and thoughts you've shared on Facebook and other media throughout the past week.

We'll also point you to some new and interesting pages you may not have known about before.

Highlights of the Week

  • At this time last week we had 286 Facebook fans. Now, we're up to 291. We recently hit our first goal of 250, and now we're tying to get to 500 fans by the end of the summer. So, spread the word!
  • The most well-liked story of the week came from the announcement that a Over on Facebook, the story was like and shared by six people and on the site, the story was recommended by over 20.
  • Another popular story was news that the may have more after all. The story was "like" quite a few times over on Facebook.
  • By now you've heard of all the Post Office closings around the country (two offices are closing in Arlington), but the will on how that's "great news."
