Boston Man Charged With Assaulting, Injuring Pregnant Woman: A 26-year-old Boston man is facing multiple felony charges after allegedly holding a pregnant woman against her will in a Tewksbury motel and then beating her when she tried to escape. Mark Silvia, of 39 Boylston St, was arrested after police responded to a 911 call from a guest at the Motel Caswell, reporting a possible domestic assault in the adjacent room. Davis Square Boutique Opening Arlington Center Location: Davis Squared, a “fun and funky” gift shop in, well, Somerville’s Davis Square, announced Thursday afternoon that it’s opening a store in Arlington Center at the end of the month. The boutique is moving into the recently vacated Main Event Tuxedo spot at 487 Massachusetts Ave. (which is to the left of Punjab). Two Prisoners Escaped Holding Facility in North Reading: Around 7:17 a.m. Monday morning, two prisoners being held before their arraignment escaped from the North Reading Police Department holding facility, police said. The two prisoners, originally arrested on Saturday on charges of heroin possession, "were able to take advantage of a breach in the locking mechanism of the holding cell door that allowed them to escape," police said in a recent press release. Around 9 a.m., the two prisoners were located and placed back in custody.
