DESCRIPTION:&nbsp\;I am a private drum instructor with over 20 years of t
 eaching experience\, working with children and adults\, beginners to adv
 anced students. &nbsp\;As a private instructor I have worked with hundre
 ds of individual students\, focusing on topics ranging form rudiments an
 d basic coordination to advanced stylistic development. &nbsp\;I have al
 so&nbsp\;worked intensively with college-bound music students to prepare
  them for admissions auditions.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;\n&nbsp\;\nAs a professiona
 l instructor I take teaching seriously. &nbsp\;I make a focused effort w
 ith each student to be productive at every lesson\, and I ask them to ma
 ke the same commitment.&nbsp\;For my part I get to know each student's a
 ptitudes\, interests\, and aspirations\, and work to provided lessons\, 
 material\, and assessments to meet each student's unique capabilities an
 d needs.\n&nbsp\;\nFor the benefit of my students\, I have created an or
 iginal instruction curriculum\, assembled a large reference library of t
 eaching materials\, and have published an instructional book entitled&nb
 sp\;Building a Drumset Vocabulary.\n&nbsp\;\nI offer instruction in a wi
 de range of areas\, including:\nMusic reading skills\nRudiments\nCoordin
 ation of hand and foot\nBrushes&nbsp\;\nBuilding speed and control\nMusi
 c styles: rock\, funk\, jazz\, latin\, blues and more.\n&nbsp\;\nI teach
  at my home studio in Winchester\, MA\, 10 miles north of Boston and con
 venient to routes 93 and 128.\n&nbsp\;\nMy studio is equipped with two c
 omplete drumsets\; practice pads\; Pro Tools recording system\, for reco
 rding a student's lesson and to record students playing along to recorde
 d music\; a computer and monitor for viewing drum instructional videos\;
  &nbsp\;sound system to listen to and play along with CDs/MP3s\; and a w
 aiting area for students and parents.\n&nbsp\;\nI teach 1/2 or 1 hour le
 ssons. I schedule lessons on a monthly basis throughout the calendar yea
 r.\n&nbsp\;\nI have been playing professionally for over 30 years\, perf
 orming with acts in New England and around the country in a wide range o
 f styles including: jazz\, rock\, R&amp\;B\, funk\, latin\, and blues st
 yles.&nbsp\;\n&nbsp\;
