For middle school and 9th grade students trying out for the MMEA Junior District Music Festival. Prepare for the audition process in a supportive environment. Perform your audition piece and scales to receive valuable feedback and helpful suggestions from peers and faculty. The workshop will cover presentation issues, expectations from the adjudicators, relaxation suggestions, and tips on audition strategies. Open to all singers and instrumentalists, you do not need to be enrolled at WCMS to participate. Held at Winchester Community Music School, 407 Highland Avenue, Winchester. More About Winchester Community Music School
Established in 1981, and in the same location on Highland Avenue since 1997, the Winchester Community Music School plays a major role in keeping the arts and entertainment field alive in local schools and the community.
In addition to daily music instruction classes, the school helps organize free concerts and public events for young people and adults alike. There are classes for a variety of age ranges and skill levels, with jazz, rock, and classical themes.
