"The Lincoln Letter" presentation by Author William Martin

The Jenks Center, 109 Skillings Rd, Winchester, MA | Get Directions »
FREE

William Martin has written ten novels, including Back Bay, Cape Cod, City of Dreams and Harvard Yard, that have chronicled American history from the Pilgrims to 9/11.  His latest, The Lincoln Letter, takes his treasure-hunters Peter Fallon and Evangeline Carrington to Washington, D.C. in search of Lincoln's diary. This means that the reader will travel with them to the modern city and deep into the history of the Civil War capital.  Pulitzer Prize-winner Doris Kearns Goodwin has said,"I am a huge William Martin fan, but The Lincoln Letter is my absolute favorite."  Long a favorite at the Jenks Center, he will be returning to speak about Lincoln and the challenges of bringing him to life on December 11 at 10:30 a.m.  Afterward, he will be signing copies of The Lincoln Letter, the perfect holiday gift for the reader in your family.  This program is free and open to the public.

This program is presented by the Education Committee of the Winchester Seniors Association and is supported by a grant from the John and Mary Murphy Educational Foundation.
