Winchester Community Lantern Walk

FREE

The goal of the Lantern Walk is to raise awareness of the negative impacts of stress and the resources available in our community for dealing with stress.

We are inviting families with school-age children to take one night off and to gather on the Common for a lantern-lighted walk through downtown. Walkers will return to the Common where we will hang lanterns as a symbol of our enlightenment. For more information, please visit our website.

More About Town Common

Town Common

Church St & Waterfield Rd, Winchester, MA

The Commons is perfectly situated right in the center of town. It's a short walk from the commuter rail, Main Street and a number of other local shops and businesses in the area. It's an ideal place to take your lunch break as the large oak tree and water fountain have a truly calming effect on this passive park.

There are a number of benches and seating areas for residents to come and relax. There's also plenty of open space for members of the community to set up for a picnic on a warm Saturday afternoon. Just make sure from mid-June to September you leave enough room for the vendors of the weekly farmer's market to set up.

With Church and Main streets right around the corner, there's plenty of street parking -  but be mindful, as there is a two-hour time limit.
