At the food demo this week, local photographer, Meg Belanger, and cousin Leigh, author, will promote their recently published cookbook, Boston Homegrown Cookbook: Local Food, Local Restaurants, Local Recipes.  They will also do a demo and talk about local food and restaurants. Meg and Leigh will be at the market all morning with copies to purchase and have signed.

The Commons is perfectly situated right in the center of town. It's a short walk from the commuter rail, Main Street and a number of other local shops and businesses in the area. It's an ideal place to take your lunch break as the large oak tree and water fountain have a truly calming effect on this passive park.

There are a number of benches and seating areas for residents to come and relax. There's also plenty of open space for members of the community to set up for a picnic on a warm Saturday afternoon. Just make sure from mid-June to September you leave enough room for the vendors of the weekly farmer's market to set up.

With Church and Main streets right around the corner, there's plenty of street parking -  but be mindful, as there is a two-hour time limit.
