Blessing of the Animals

BLESSING OF THE ANIMALS & ALL OF GOD’S CREATION

Sunday, September 30 at 10:00 a.m. in Chidley Hall

Our second annual Blessing of the Animals is coming up in two weeks!  Last year’s celebration was a joyous occasion and we are looking forward to doing it again.  All are invited to bring their animal companions (dogs, cats, fish, hamsters, iguanas, rabbits, snakes, etc.) to be part of our worship and to receive a blessing.

All pets are welcome, but we trust you know your pet best.  You may wish to bring them in a crate/cage/bowl and let them out just at the time of blessing.  Alternatively, you may wish to bring a photo for a proxy blessing.  If your special friend is a stuffed animal, they are welcome too!  There will be different sections for different animals (as well as an animal-free zone), a clean-up crew for accidents and a place where animals can relieve themselves.  Owners are asked to clean up after their pets.  Water will also be available.
