Here are five things you need to know today, Thursday, Sept. 6:

2. Second day of school schedule: Winchester students in Grades 1-5 have an early release today. Grades 6-12 are in class from 7:45 a.m.-2:15 p.m.

3. . The organization meets today at 12:15 p.m. at the Parish of the Epiphany.

4. Planning Board meets. Meeting in the Planning Board office at 7:15 p.m. and the regular meeting in the Board of Selectmen's meeting room at 7:30 p.m.

How about that today is primary election day in Winchester. Trying to find out where I need to vote, given VO school in under construction. Nobody has this information.

Reader may want to know that today is the statewide primary. Frank Addivinola is running for U.S. Representative in Massachusetts 5th Congressional District, the seat being currently occupied by Ed Markey. He was born and raised in Malden, MA and graduated from Williams College. He earned his ALM (Master of Liberal Arts) from the Harvard Extension School, MBA & MS from the University of Maryland and MS in Biotechnology from Johns Hopkins University. For six years, Frank worked and taught in biomedical research as a doctoral candidate and fellow in Molecular and Cell Biology with dissertation advisor Nobel laureate Marshall Nirenberg at the National Institutes of Health. He graduated from Suffolk University Law School where he received his JD and then Master of Laws in Biomedicine and Health Law. Since graduating from Williams, and continuously during his career, Frank owned and operated several businesses. Good point Lace—I dropped the ball on that. Trying to track 12 sites at once, I usually rely on the editors to know this info, naturally, but covering for Lindsey while she's away I should've caught this. Kari, thanks for helping out!
