Five Things: Town Offers Flu Clinics

Here is some information to get you through Thursday, Sept. 20.

1. It's going to be sunny today with a high of 66 degrees and a low of 49, according to the National Weather Service.

2. Winchester said goodbye to one its own Wednesday morning. Members of the community lined the streets stretching from the Costello Funeral Home to St. Eulalia Church. See a slideshow of Winchester honoring Glen Doherty and supporting his family.

3. U.S. Senate candidates Scott Brown and Elizabeth Warren will have a live televised debate tonight at WBZ studios in Boston. The debate, the first in a series of four, will take place from 7 to 8 p.m. on WBZ-TV, WBZ Newsradio 1030 and CBS Boston.com.

4. The Winchester Board of Health will be holding four flu clinics over the next few weeks at the Jenks Center. The flu shot and FluMist nasal spray for individuals 2 through 49 years old are being offered during the day and evening clinics. Tetanus shots are also offered at all clinics for $10. The board asks everyone to bring all insurance cards as most health insurances are accepted. It's $10 if your insurance is not accepted. The clinics are as follows:

Age 65 & over and High Risk Only 
Tuesday, Sept. 25 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.

General Public  - Age 3 and over 
Tuesday, Oct. 2 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.

General Public  - Age 3 and over 
Wednesday, Oct. 10 from 2 to 4 p.m.

General Public – Age 3 and over 
Monday, Oct. 15 from 6 to 8 p.m.

5. It's Red Solo Cup Night at The Bar in Woburn. Everything will be served in solo cups, and there will be food and drinks specials as well. The Bar is also hosting a costume contest with prizes. The party starts at 8:30 p.m. Check here for more information on the event, contest and bar.
