Glen Doherty Memorial Road Race Announced

The Town of Winchester is hosting their first annual Glen Doherty Memorial Road Race.

This community event is open to walkers for the 5K and runners for the 10K.

Glen Doherty, a Winchester resident, was a former Navy SEAL who lost his life saving others in the attack on the American Consulate building in Benghazi, Libya on September 11, 2012.

The Glen Doherty Memorial Fund was established to help current and former special operations professionals and their families through scholarships and vocational training. 

The race is being held at 40 Skillings Road on Saturday, October 6. Volunteers and sponsors are needed for this event.
