Take Your Dog to Work Today

1. The heat advisory has been lifted with a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms later in the day, but temperatures will still be in the low 90s, according to the National Weather Service. Thunderstorms with gusty winds and heavy rain become more likely as the evening falls and temperatures could drop to 69 degrees.

Today is national Take Your Dog to Work Day. According to a recent survey by the American Pet Products Association, about 2.3 million dogs tag along and wag along to work with 1.4 million dog owners every day.
