A NIght at the Opera, Presented by Tufts Opera

Tufts Opera consists of undergraduates from Tufts University.  The students in Opera range from freshman to senior and music major to non-major.  For many of them, Tufts Opera is their first experience with Opera.  By the time the students graduate they have gained immense confidence in acting and singing opera, and often have sung a full operatic role.

They will present a program on Wednesday, December 14th which will consist of opera scenes selected from the operas Marriage of Figaro, Impressario, and Magic Flute by Mozart, Elixir of Love by Donizetti, Die Fledermaus by J. Strauss, Old Maid and Thief by Menotti, Ruddigore by Gilbert and Sullivan and a new work by Libby Larsen based on the story of Stone Soup.

Tufts Opera is stage directed by Carol Mastrodomenico and musically directed by Steven Morris.  Ms. Mastrodomenico and Mr. Morris have directed the ensemble for over 10 years.
