On Tuesday, May 24th at 10:30 a.m. Jane Blair of ArtMatters will bring us a close look at the Post Impressionists, such as Cezanne, Gauguin, van Gogh, Seurat and Toulouse Lautrec. Like a stone dropped into a calm pond, the ripples from the revolutionary Impressionist style of painting spread out, influencing a whole new generation of artists. ArtMatters brings us large, colorful, fine art reproductions of the artwork being discussed and displays them across the front of the Pond Room at the Jenks Center, so we can look at all of them during the entire presentation and afterwards. This program is free and open to the public. Coffee and cookies will be available at 10:00 a.m.
