Mahoney's Fall Fest

Celebrate autumn at Mahoney’s new Fall Fest this Columbus Day weekend, October 8, 9 and 10.  There will be activities for children, gardening seminars for both the green and black thumbs, and food tasting for all. Activities are from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, rain or shine, only at Mahoney’s in Winchester.

 

Children can enjoy free professional face painting, pumpkin painting (small charge for the pumpkin), free popcorn, free hot cider, a kid-friendly maze, free balloons and pumpkin bowling. Be sure to stroll by the Moonlight Rose Alpaca tent to pet live alpaca (Sunday and Monday only).

Mahoney’s Farm Stand will be packed with seasonal produce such as pumpkins, local corn, apples, squash, and more. In addition, there will be a farmers’ market array of vendors including The Centerville Pie Company, The Muffin Cart, Cape Cod Cookie, Joslin Pasta Sauces, A-1 pickles, The Cape Cod Lady with Chowders and Soups, and more.

Don’t miss your chance to guess how many gourds are in the 5-foot tall glass case. Winners receive a free Mahoney’s gift certificate to any of their eight locations.

 

For the gardener (black thumbs included!), there will be free gardening seminars, including: Fabulous Feathered Friends by Harlan Hyde from Aspen Song, Planting Fall Bulbs by the Holland Bulb Company, “Low-mow, No-feed” Pearl’s Premium Grass Seed discussion, Houseplants for Beginners, How to Design Fall Planters; Putting your Perennials to Bed; Putting your Lawn to Bed; Organic Garden Solutions by Bonide; and Organic Fall Lawn Care by Jonathan Green.
