Wincentennial is looking for local hoofers and crooners to join our cast. Whether you've been performing for years, want to dust off your dancing shoes, or you've secretly wanted to give the stage a try, this is the show for you!

Our Cabaret has one important goal: to raise funds for Winchester Hospital. In fact, you will recognize many of the doctors, nurses, technicians and hospital employees who star in our show! Here's the best news: everyone who auditions is included in our cast. Our professional and volunteer staff will work hard to highlight your talents.

Rehearsals begin January 3, 2011 with show dates February 1 - 5, 2011. Only one month of rehearsals?! That's right! This show has been performed in this time frame every year since 1921 (we cancelled one show due to the outbreak of WW II). It's a lot of hard work but lots of fun, and an opportunity to perform for an appreciative audience as well as make life long friendships. Some of our cast members participate as a family, with multiple generations taking the stage together. Many of our cast members have been with us for 20 years or more. In fact one of our cast members just celebrated her 53rd consecutive show! We've even had several "showmances" that led to marriage!!!
The tradition and history of the Winton Club Cabaret make it a unique and fun performance opportunity. We hope you will consider joining us this year, as we celebrate 100 years of Winton.
Open Auditions will be held Monday December 6, 2010 and Tuesday December 7, 2010 in the Winchester Town Hall Auditorium.
Auditions will begin promptly at 7pm on both nights. You only need to come on 1 of these 2 nights, whichever is better for your schedule.
Please be prepared to sing up to 16 bars of a song of your choice; bring dance shoes if you have them (tap, jazz, and/or character), and please wear comfortable clothes for movement. If you have any questions, you may contact our Talent Committee Chair JEAN COSS by e-mail and she will be happy to answer them for you.
