Winchester Weekend: Jubilation Singers Holiday Concert, Gingerbread House Workshop

A look at some weekend events in and around Winchester.

Jubilation Singers Holiday Concert
McCall Middle School's Jubilation Singers perform, along with the Winchester High School Chamber Singers and Octets and the All-Town Children's Chorus. There will be some surprise guests, too. It's at McCall Middle School Saturday at 7 p.m.

Gingerbread House Workshop
Swizzles Frozen Yogurt is running a gingerbread house workshop on Sunday at 12 p.m. It costs $10 per child, which includes all the materials for the gingerbread house, and some yogurt. Sign up by Saturday.

Somerville Illuminations Tour
There are some houses in Somerville that go all out with the holiday decorations. This annual 45-minute trolley tour takes you to all the highlights. It starts Saturday at 4:30 p.m. at Somerville City Hall, and there are scheduled trolley tours throughout the evening. You need a ticket (sold at Blue Cloud Gallery in Somerville) and if it's too late to get one, you can buy a map of participating houses at Blue Cloud Gallery or Magpie and take the tour on your own. An annual Illuminations Bike Tour begins at 5:50 p.m. at the Somerville High School main entrance.

Christmas Charity Concert in Arlington
Celebrate Christmas and help support relief efforts for the Japanese earthquake and tsunami victims. The charity concert is Saturday at 2:30 p.m. in Arlington at 630 Massachusetts Avenue.

Swedish Christmas in Wilmington
The Stämbandet Jul Concert features a Sweidish candlelight holiday celebration. It's at 5 p.m. Sunday at the Congregational Church in Wilmington, 220 Middlesex Ave.
