Here's some good news for coffee and Munchkin lovers in the area.
Dunkin Donuts announced today that it will be doubling its locations in the United States over the next 20 years, according to a CNN report.
In addition to more coffee, Dunkin' Donuts will be adding more jobs. The CNN reports says that each new store adds an average of 20-25 full and part-time new employees.
The Boston Herald, meanwhile, is reporting that Dunkin’ Donuts’ parent company, Dunkin’ Brands Group, Inc., signed a new deal to keep “franchisees in new markets with the same product costs as franchisees in established Dunkin’ Donuts markets.”
The deal, according to the Herald, will eliminate across the board product costs among franchise owners.
According to Los Angeles-based industry research firm IBISWorld, Dunkin' Donuts has roughly 23% of the coffee and snack-shop market. Starbucks is a 32.6-percent of the market share.
