Orange Leaf to Open Frozen Yogurt Store in Winchester

Find out when the Orange Leaf frozen yogurt store will be opening for business in Winchester.

Orange Leaf will be opening 18 new frozen yogurt stores, including one in Winchester, this year in Massachusetts.

“As a company, we cannot be more excited to expand our footprint in Massachusetts as one of the highest-demand markets for frozen desserts,” said Orange Leaf CEO Reese Travis in a press statement. “Massachusetts, along with the northeast as a whole, is one of Orange Leaf’s fastest developing areas. Our low start-up cost and scalable business model has attracted many eager franchisees in the region who are excited to grow our brand.”

The Oklahoma-based frozen yogurt chain will have 41 stores in Massachusetts once the new ones are operational, according to a Boston Globe report. Some Winchester area locations expected to open this year include Melrose, Reading and Woburn.

The company has not provided the address for a dozen of the proposed stores in the state, including the Winchester location, according to the Orange Leaf website.

Winchester Patch left a message with Orange Leaf seeking comment about the local opening but the company has yet to return our call. It is unclear when the store's official opening will be held.

The last frozen yogurt business to open in Winchester was Swizzles, when it opened its doors to customers in January 2012.
