Does Winchester need a chain restaurant or store to open in 2013? Or perhaps a mom-and-pop-type business to open up shop in town?

Let us know which business you fancy the most by posting a comment in the comments section below.

A non-Asian, authentic ethnic restaurant. Think Tu y Yo (authentic Mexican) from Teele Sq. in Somerville or Helmand (Afghan) from East Cambridge near the Galleria mall.

Thanks for the comment, Stacey. Coincidentally, I just tried Tu y Yo for the first time and the food was pretty good. I'll have to give Helmand a try sometime. Do you have any favorite dishes there?

how about a sporting goods store?..subsidize it with the towns sports teams, a shoe store...look at Lexington and Belmont centers..we have banks, we have hardware, we have pizza, baked goods, ...look to back fill the stores we don't have.. .the last thing we need is another hair or nail salon.

Try the Kaddo (pumpkin appetizer) and Dwopiaza (lamb entree) at Helmand. Super yummy!

A pet store. A Brigham's. A Video rental store. Maybe a copy or stationary store. I guess maybe just the things that closed over the past 30 years...

How about dog owners stop having their dog do their business everywhere.

creative project space for kids (and adults). Like ArtBeat in Arlington, or H3XL in Burlington, or Parts and Crafts in Somerville.
