What's Open, Closed on Columbus Day
Before you head out today, see what's open and closed around town.
It's finally cooling down in Winchester with temperatures barely reaching the high 50s this holiday, according to the National Weather Service.
Even though Columbus Day is a national holiday, that doesn't mean everything in Winchester is closed, but if you plan on heading into the town center, here's some advice:
- Winchester Public Library: Closed
- Banks: Closed
- Town Offices: Closed
- Federal and State Offices: Closed
- Jenks Center: Closed
- Schools: Closed
- Restaurants: Open
- Retail Stores: Open at owners' discretion
- Winchester Post Office: Closed
- Stop and Shop: Open
- Convenience Stores: Open
- Gas Stations: Open
- Gyms and Yoga studios: Open with limited schedules
- MBTA: Commuter Rail and buses on regular weekday schedules
