Anna Rudy, a 9-year-old Stoneham author of "The Stone Zoo," will host a fundraiser in mid-July to benefit Stone Zoo.

The fundraiser kicks off at 5 p.m. July 16 at the Bedford/Burlington Flatbread Company. At the event, Rudy will sell and sign her books, hand out coloring pages to children and raffle $1,500 worth of prizes donated by local businesses.

The Flatbread Company will donate $1.75 for every small flatbread sold and $3.50 for every large flatbread sold during the event to the Stone Zoo, according to a press release.

The event's donors include Stone Zoo, Dairy Dome and Hago Harrington's Miniature Golf in Stoneham, BeanStalk Toy Shop in Melrose, Boating in Boston at Spot Pond, Book Ends in Winchester, Boston Rock Gym in Woburn, the Butteryfly Place in Westford, the Discovery Museums in Acton, the LEGO Store in the Burlington Mall, Sky Zone in Everett, and Story Land in Glenn, New Hampshire.
