Say 'Thank You' to a Teacher

Looking for an easy and meaningful way to say "Thanks!" to a Winchester teacher?

I think everyone remembers at least one special teacher from their childhood – someone who helped you finally make sense of algebra or saw in your writing the glimmer of true talent. Teachers are also the people who know sometimes you need a push in the right direction, other times you just need a hug. Teachers change lives.

For more than 20 years in Winchester our community has supported teacher driven projects through a nonprofit organization, the Winchester Foundation for Educational Excellence (WFEE).

WFEE grants have created community gardens at our schools, funded artist in residence programs and purchased technology that the public budget couldn’t afford. Thanks to generous parents, grandparents and friends of the schools, WFEE has given over $3.5 million dollars to support Winchester’s students and teachers since 1992. WFEE helps teachers make their classrooms more innovative, creative and effective. One of the ways we raise money to do that is through the WFEE Teacher Tribute Program.

Honor a Winchester teacher with a tax-deductible gift to WFEE. We will send your honoree a card inscribed with your personal message plus a small gift. It is a way of telling educators you value what they do and want to make an investment in our schools. Teachers tell me the personal messages light up their day, “The WFEE Teacher Tribute is like a smile from our students that gets me started again.”

If you would like to make a Teacher Tribute you can do so through the WFEE website. Know that yours will be a gift that impacts students and teachers across the Winchester community. It is a meaningful way to say “thanks!” to the people who are influencing the next generation.
