Today is Thursday, April 14. Here are five things you need to know:

  1. Sunny and Dry: Thursday should be a lot nice than Wednesday. According to the National Weather Service, there will be some clouds and patch fog in the morning, but by mid-morning the sun will be showing. Temperatures are expected to hit 60 degrees today with wind gusts of up to 20 mph. By night, the temperature will drop back down into the 30s.

  3. Flushing Notice: Beginning Wednesday, April 13, of the town’s east/west water system will be taking place during the day from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for approximately three weeks. Thewill begin flushing with the East side for the first two weeks and the West side for the third week. During flushing, residents should refrain from using water for drinking, dishwashing, and laundry as some discoloration of water may occur. If you experience discolored water, let the cold water run until it clears.
  4. Talent Shows: The second annual will take place tonight at at 6:45 p.m. It will feature all shorts of students doing everything from singing and dancing to playing instruments and pogo-sticking. Over at , the students and teachers will be putting on their talent show beginning at 7 p.m.
  5. Salomé Marcus 2012 Collection Preview: Local designer Pauline Benninga will be presenting her for her Salomé Marcus line at tonight from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
