Today is Monday, April 18. Here are five things you need to know:

  1. Take an umbrella: Guess what, here comes some more rain. According to the National Weather Service, the high for Tuesday is expected to reach into the low 50s, but more rain is expected. There’s a 50 percent chance of rain Tuesday into Tuesday night and by Wednesday morning those rain showers could turn to thunderstorms.

  3. Taxes due: Hopefully you enjoyed a stress-free weekend from filing your taxes, since an back to this week. But your procrastination is now over. Hopefully you submitted your federal taxes (they were due yesterday). However, because of the Patriots’ Day, your state taxes aren’t due until today.
  4. iPhone app: The mobile Patch app is finally here, which means you can now take us everywhere. The iPhone app went live last week and is available in Apple’s App Store and features a variety of ways for you to stay connected and keep up-to-date about what’s going on in your community. The Patch app will consist of all the things you see on the Web site, including community news, weather, local business listings and events in the city.
  5. Flushing Notice: Beginning Wednesday, April 13, of the town’s east/west water system will be taking place during the day from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for approximately three weeks. Thewill begin flushing with the East side for the first two weeks and the West side for the third week. During flushing, residents should refrain from using water for drinking, dishwashing, and laundry as some discoloration of water may occur. If you experience discolored water, let the cold water run until it clears.
