1. Special Weather Statement: The National Weather service is warning that there is an elevated potential for brushfires as humidities are expected to fall. STATE FIRE OFFICIALS HAVE INDICATED THAT FUELS ARE VERY DRY. EVEN WITH THE LIGHT WINDS, THERE IS AN ELEVATED RISK FOR FIRE SPREAD. Predictions call for a sunny day with a high near 69 with calm winds. In the evening, the temps will reach 48 degrees.

2. International Drop-In Gathering: The Winchester Multicultural Network invites you to attend the International Drop-In Gatherings, from 8:30-10 a.m., at , 794 Main St, Winchester.

3. Sparky's Puppets: Tales of Sea and Shore: Join Sparky's Puppets in the Large Meeting Room on April19 at 1 p.m. for fascinating and and sea-worthy tales! Tickets will be available in the Children's Room for children ages 4+ in the Large Meeting Room at The Winchester Public Library from 1-2 p.m.

4. HOT READS: Calling all young professionals, college grads and stay at home moms!  Join us at the Winchester Public Library for our newest book club devoted to reading and discussing buzz worthy and scintillating books. We'll be discussing the book, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson.  Check it out from the library or download the ebook at digital.minlib.net. Light refreshments will be served.
