Today is Thursday, April 21. Here are five things you need to know:

  1. Cool and comfortable: This may be the last clear day of the week, so take advantage of it. According to the National Weather Service, the high for Thursday is expected to be 56 degrees. It should be sunny and clear today with wind gusts as high as 41 mph. But beginning Friday and continuing into the weekend, showers are expected.

  4. Mortimer Hearing: Thomas Mortimer, IV, is scheduled to be for a motions hearing that will take place at 2 p.m. at the Woburn Superior Courthouse.
  5. Flushing Notice: Beginning Wednesday, April 13, of the town’s east/west water system will be taking place during the day from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for approximately three weeks. Thewill begin flushing with the East side for the first two weeks and the West side for the third week. During flushing, residents should refrain from using water for drinking, dishwashing, and laundry as some discoloration of water may occur. If you experience discolored water, let the cold water run until it clears.
