Today is Friday, April 22. Here are five things you need to know:

  1. Sunny and cool: You get to enjoy the sun one more day before rain is expected to hit the region for the weekend. According to the National Weather Service, the high for Friday is expected to be 53 degrees with a slight breeze. By Friday night temperatures will drop to 36 degrees as clouds begin to come in, which will bring rain for Saturday.
  2. Pneumonia Shots: Beginning in April, Winchester is offering . The shot protects against 23 types of pneumococcal bacteria, including those that cause serious disease of lungs (pneumonia), blood, and brain (meningitis). A shot costs $10, but is free with Medicare Part B, or many other senior health plans, For an Appointment, call Kathy Whittaker, RN 781-721-7121.
