Today is Thursday, Aug. 25. Here are five things you need to know:

Chance of Rain: Today should be mostly sunny overall, but there is a 40 percent chance of showers after 11 a.m. and then a 60 percent chance of heavy showers and possible thunderstorms from 10 p.m. to 3 a.m., according to the National Weather Service. The daytime high could reach 86 degrees, while the overnight low is expected to be about 70.
  2. Raspberry Picking: What better way to spend a late summer day than picking fresh raspberries right here in Winchester at the . Today’s picking hours are 9 a.m. to noon. Pints are $5, or the berries are $7.75 per pound. .
