Today is Wednesday, August 3. Here are five things you need to know:

  3. Art in August: The Art in August Festival this Saturday at the from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be photography, silk scarves, mixed metals, wood, fabric, painting and sterling silver jewelry on the Common. Live music will be provided by Gil Graham and Friends.

When customers purchase something from Book Ends they can present that receipt at the other two stores that same day and save 10 percent off any non-promotional items. The program will run through August.
