Today is Thursday, Dec. 15. Here are five things you need to know.
- Warm and rainy: Expect some rain for the morning commute. According to the National Weather Service, the highThursday for is expected to be 52 degrees. It should be mostly rainy throughout the day. Temperatures will drop to 42 degrees Thursday night as the rain continues through the evening.
- Winter Parking: The winter parking ban is an effect. Vehicles parked on the street between 1 and 7 a.m. are subject to fines. Any vehicles parked on the street during a snow emergency may be fined and towed.
- Flu shot: The Winchester Board of Health has flu vaccine; flu shots and FluMist.Supplies are limited. If interested, please contact Kathy Whittaker, Public Health Nurse at 781-721-7121 to arrange for an appointment.
- Night of the Arts: The on Friday, Dec. 16 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. to promote entrepreneurship, art and enriched education. All revenue earned from the event will go primarily towards the American Studies trip to Chicago. Tickets can be purchased at and cost $10 for adults and $5 for students.
