Today is Friday, Dec. 2. Here are five things you need to know.

  1. Sunny: It’s getting warmer again. According to the National Weather Service, the high for Friday is expected to be 50 degrees. It should be mostly sunny with a chance of showers after 10 p.m. By Friday night temperatures could drop to 30 degrees..
  2. Trees for Troops: program ends this Sunday, Dec. 4.
  3. Flu shots: The following immunizations are available by appointment with the Winchester Department of Health: Flu Shots – age 6 months and older; FluMist – age 2 -49, healthy, non-pregnant; Pneumonia Shots – age 19 and older. All adults age 65 and older should have one pneumonia shot. Flu and pneumonia vaccines covered by most insurances. If not, the cost is $10.   4. Ice Skating Lessons: There will be at at 4 p.m. this afternoon.
