Today is Tuesday, Feb. 15. Here are five things you need to know:

  1. Hold on…it’s going to be windy: I’m sure you heard those gusts most of the night. Well, according to the National Weather Service, that wind advisory should be coming to an end around 6 a.m., but that doesn’t mean it’s going to be a quiet day. With a high of only 22 degrees, the wind is expected to continue to blow between 18 and 23 mph for most of the way with gusts of up to 49.

  3. Town Meetings: The meeting originally scheduled for Monday night will be held tonight at 7 p.m. On the agenda will be . The Zoning Board of Appeals will also be meeting tonight at 7:45 p.m. The new housing development along Cambridge Street – the Graystone at Winchester – will be discussed
  4. Vinson-Owen: Fifty years ago today, an airplane carrying the 1961 US Figure Skating plane crashed, killing the entire team. On that plane was the from Winchester. On Thursday, the movie Rise will be released in select theaters and on Friday the Vinson-Owen students will be honoring the family at the Stoneham ice rink. 
  5. In case you missed it: On Friday afternoon, Winchester Firefighter, John Travers was with illegal possession of a gun without a license and possession of ammunition without a license. Travers was released Friday on bail.
