Today is Friday, Feb. 17. Here are five things you need to know.

  1. Showers early: There could be some rain for your morning commute. According to the National Weather Service, the high for Friday is expected to be 46 degrees. It should be raining until around noon when it should start to clear off. By Friday afternoon it will be cloudy, but gradually clearing off.
  2. Daddy/daughter dance: Don’t forget, the daddy/daughter dance, which was scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 11, has been moved to Friday, Feb. 17 at 6:30 p.m. at the Burlington Marriot.
  3. Movie Night: Are you a mother? Do you have a son? Is the rest of your family heading to the father/daughter dance on Friday? Don’t worry, starting at 6:30 p.m. at the Winchester Recreation Department, there will be a mother/son movie night for $10 per family.
  4. Missing beagle: A Winchester family is searching for their lost dog. He is a 3-year-old small beagle named Buddy. He was last seen at home in Winchester on Jan. 6 at 9 a.m.  Please call 781-789-4671, if you have any information.
