Today is Tuesday, Feb. 7. Here are five things you need to know.

  1. Sunny day: It’s starting to look like winter is never going to show up. According to the National Weather Service, the high for Tuesday is expected to be 45 degrees. It should be sunny throughout the day, and by Tuesday night temperatures are going to drop to 21 degrees.
  2. Expo event: The will hold their first annual , Chamber Connections on Tuesday, Feb. 7 at The Griffin Museum at 6:30 p.m. This Business Expo is an opportunity for the public to meet local business owners who do not have storefronts but are providing service to their clients in the community in a variety of fields. The featured guest will be Linda Sloane Kay, Executive Vice President of Century Bank who will speak on relationship-building, networking, and her family business. Energy Efficient: The Winchester Chamber of Commerce and the Winchester's Climate Action Task Force are This meeting for small businesses will provide information regarding energy efficiency measures that save money and improve the bottom line.  Hear about the significant cost savings that Winchester Hospital and the Town have already achieved.  A representative from NSTAR will speak about their Direct Install Program for businesses, featuring a free energy assessment and payment of up to 70 percent of the total cost for retrofitting qualifying lighting and mechanical systems. The meeting will be held Wednesday, Feb. 8, at 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. at Town Hall, Winchester Room.  RSVP by calling Janet Wolbrom of the Chamber at 781-729-8870 or email Janet at info@winchesterchamber.com.
